Dear Michaela and Mercy,
I was so humbled to be there with you to honor your dad and support you.  The service was so beautiful, touching, and patriotic ... I like to imagine that your dad was there watching over you during the service and bellowing
a few "hoorahs!" here and there.

Please know that I'm always here for you. You are amazing young women filled with grace, strength, compassion and love. Your dad was so proud of you and loved you so much and always will continue to love you and be with you in your heart and many fond memories.
I love you.

The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat... Known suffering... Known struggle... Known loss and have found their way out of the depths... These persons have an appreciation... A sensitivity and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion... Gentleness and a deep loving concern...
